Hello~ This post will be a tangent to all my other posts. I don’t usually tell my readers not to buy from shops, but I feel like you guys should be warned about this eBay seller. After all my posts about my alpacas, I’m afraid that some of my readers may go searching for Arpakassos and fall victims to this seller’s schemes.
**PLEASE REBLOG TO SPREAD AWARENESS**
1. The Arpakassos they sell are fake. I am pretty sure that when you guys go searching for an Arpkasso, you are looking for an authentic one. It would be okay if she did not list them as “Arpakasso”, but rather something along the lines of “alpaca plushie”. However, she claims that they are real when they are most definitely not. The word “Arpakasso” is what appeals to buyers as that is what the toys are called. To use the name to deceive unknowing customers? It is despicable.
As an Arpakasso lover, I have seen both authentic ones and fakes in Taiwan. Their appearance is noticeably different. Does this even look like an alpaca to you? At best, it could be a bear or wombat.
They are preying on the vulnerability of first-time and unexperienced Arpakasso buyers. Arpakasso come in many series with different garments and costumes. Below, premium_for_plush calls the series “Spring Garland”. That is not even a series. The correct series name is “Eden Series”. You would think that a certified Arpakasso seller would know that, right? I guess she could use the error in name in justifying that customers should know that they are fake.
What is even more ironic is how premium_for_plush has comparison pictures of real and fakes. They are selling series that do not even exist. For an actual detailed comparison between real and fake Arpakassos, read Rosy’s Garden’s guide to detecting fakes.
2. The prices are unreasonable. If my first point was not enough to convince you not to purchase from them, think about the price. Do you really want to dish out good money for an illegitimate item? The price of a fake Arpakasso should be substantially lower than a real one. If you are going to spend as much money on a fake one as a real one, why not just buy a real one? Unless you get some pleasure out of being scammed, do not buy from them.
Look at this. $999.99 for a 43cm fake. HOW CRAZY IS THAT? In my Guide To Buying Arpakasso, I told you guys “ NO LARGE ARPAKASSO SHOULD COST MORE THAN $50 OR LESS THAN $30 WITHOUT SHIPPING, REGARDLESS OF SIZE.” If this sky-high price is not a red flag for you, I don’t know what is. The seller is defending her price by saying the series is limited-edition when Arpakasso does not even have a “Bowknot Silk Ribbon” series
**EDIT** She some how found my post and has changed the above picture. It now says that the alpacas are “not for sale” and accusing me of false claims.
3. She blackmails customers. cherry—-blossoms was unfortunate enough to purchase from premium_for_plush (her posts here & here). This is what happened after she confronted premium_for_plush about the authenticity of the items:
So, the seller, Premium_for Plush, has gotten some other seller named 2011yan0806 to buy an item from my eBay account. I got two messages saying I need to return the Alpacasso I bought, plus the free gifts, to Premium_for_Plush (She sent me a medium size and small size imitation Aplacasso for free and two keychains. I had no one idea she was going to do this.) or this user would leave me negative feedback. This seller has no intentions of paying for the item they bought from me. They are only doing it to leave me negative feedback. Going a bit far, huh?
I also found out Premium_for_Plush has left follow up feedback on me saying I’m demanding MORE Alpacasso to be sent to me! I have never dealt with a worse eBayer in my entire life!
4. She manipulates buyers. Take a glance at the two pictures below. Both for the same item and both from the same seller. The difference? The price. Though it is only a couple of dollars different, it shows that she is willing to mislead customers to few extra bucks.
You can choose to ignore this post or heed my warning, up to you. Keep in mind that this is not the only fake seller on eBay. An astonishing 70% of all Arpakassos on eBay are fake. Be sure to read my Guide to Buying Arpakasso as well for the tips and tricks to getting the perfect Arpakasso for you!
DO NOT BUY FROM PREMIUM_FOR_PLUSH ON EBAY. Please spread the word by reblogging this post.
